ROOKIE FOUR 1. Any American or foreign 1970 or later 4 - cylinder car or mini - pick - up Allowed with exception as followed: No convertibles, or station wagons. 2 - wheel drive cars or mini - pick - ups only. No turbo or fuel injection cars No multi - carburetor engines. No rotary, mid or rear engine or Cosworth engine vehicles. No engine with more than two (2) valves per cylinder.  Must run front engine and rear wheel drives. NO FOUR (4) WHEEL DRIVES ALLOWED. CABER PLATES OK. 2. Engines must be stock. Not to exceed 2500 CC (.40 overbore permitted). Displacement must be posted on both sides of hood in CC's (-5 CC's tolerance). 3. No altering of car, this means any part of car, unless it is stated in rules. All hood and trunk hinges can be removed, Body must be stock appearing. Roof MUST BE OEM. Body must have original bodylines. Aluminum OK. Engine must match body. Example: Ford to Ford, Chevy to Chevy, etc. No spoilers inside car. 4. The modifications are as followed:      A. After market front and rear bumper covers may be used.      B. All head lights and tail lights must be removed with all holes covered.      C. Battery can be relocated.      D. Fuel cell is required and it must be mounted in a metal can. Cutting holes in trunk is       OK.     But must not be more than is necessary to mount fuel cell.      F. Cutting interior body panels OK. Should not be excessive. Door panels can be removed from roll cage.      E. Dash may be removed. Must have fabricated dash.      G. Loop bar OK around radiator.      H. Hood and deck lid can be gutted.       I. Boxing of interior will be permitted.      J. After market radiator OK      K. Quick Steer Box OK. TIRES AND WHEELS 1. Steel wheels only, 7" max. width. 2. 60 or 70 series tire. Diamond Back or Towel City retread OK on street legal casing. NO RACING TIRES. RESURFACE ENGINES 1. ALL ENGINES MUST BE STOCK OR AS STATED : Cam .425 max lift. Carb. stock cast iron exhaust manifold. NO FACTORY TYPE HEADER, Clutch pressure plate, and Fly wheel must be stock any stock production head. No porting or polishing. 3 - angle. 2. Carb - Holley #7448-350, #0-80583-350 stock remove chock flap only. FUEL 1. Fuel - Track fuel is TURBO BLUE ONLY, Must pass track test. SAFETY 1. Full face helmet, complete fire suit with gloves - MANDATORY. 2. Roll cage - MANDATORY - must have minimum of three (3) bars in drivers door. 3. Window net - MANDATORY 4. Fuel cell - MANDATORY - (Must be mounted in metal can) 5. Seat belts five (5) point system - MANDATORY 6. WIND SHIELD SCREEN - MANDATORY 7. Fire extinguishers - with gauge mounted in a quick release harness in reach of the driver - MANDATORY 8. Scatter shield - MANDATORY 9. Battery - Must be mounted outside of driver compartment or in enclosed bolted down box. 10. Fuel lines - MUST BE UNDER CAR OR IN TUBING.
